ACCESSIBILITY of care & services

Did you start receiving Intra venous medication in the hospital, and you need to continue having it after your discharge from the hospital?

L’infirmière Coach de Santé allows you to receive your antibiotic treatments, chemotherapy or other medications by injection or intravenously in our clinic or at home (under certain conditions).

These services, available 24/7, are offered with appointment only.

Intravenous medication

Intravenous medication, administered only under medical prescription allows the treatment to be injected directly into the bloodstream. This procedure is used to administer rehydration fluid, antibiotics, vitamins, chemotherapy or any other prescribed medication.

Intramuscular injection

Intramuscular injection requires a medical prescription and involves introducing the medication deep into the muscles.

The intramuscular administration regions are:

Anterior gluteus (hip)
Posterior gluteal (buttock)
Deltoid (shoulder)
Vastus lateral thigh (lateral aspect of the thigh)
Straight thigh muscle (front of the thigh)

Injecting a subcutaneous medication requires a medical prescription. It allows the medication to be introduced into the part of the skin called the hypodermis. Several medications such as insulin and some vaccines are administered this way.

Intradermal injection

Intradermal injection involves injecting a drug into the region of the skin called the dermis (middle layer of the skin).
