Any medication prescription issued by a physician practicing outside of Quebec (outside Canada or internationally) is not valid and cannot be recognized or filled by healthcare professionals or pharmacies in Quebec.

Only prescriptions from a physician licensed to practice in Quebec, or from an authorized practitioner in another Canadian province, can be accepted.

For any prescription received from abroad, it is necessary to obtain a new prescription from a Quebec physician in order to dispense or administer the required medication.

Ear irrigation, is a procedure performed to remove excess earwax or debris accumulated in the ear canal. It is indicated in cases of cerumen impaction (earwax blockage) leading to hearing loss, pain, itching, ear pressure, a sensation of a blocked ear, or tinnitus.

PREPARATION:

Prior to earwax removal, self-instillation of 2-3 drops of mineral oil or olive oil into the ears is recommended for 3 to 5 days before the appointment. The goal is to soften the wax plug to facilitate its removal.

Before removing earwax, your ear canals are inspected to determine if wax removal is necessary and possible. This assessment and inspection step ensures there are no contraindications for ear irrigation (ear infection or a perforated eardrum).

2- The timing for suture removal varies depending on the type of procedure, the location of the wound, and its condition (generally between 5 to 14 days).

Never remove your stitches yourself, as premature or improper removal can cause the wound to reopen or lead to poor scarring. Furthermore, if the wound becomes red, swollen, painful, or starts oozing, promptly contact a healthcare professional.
